Cheng Baochang, male, doctoral supervisor, researcher at the Advanced Research Institute of Nanchang University, candidate for the Jiangxi Young Scientists Training Program, and Ganjiang Distinguished Professor of Nanchang University. He obtained his Doctor of Science degree in Condensed Matter Physics from the Key Laboratory of Materials Physics, Institute of Solid State Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004 (Supervisor: Researcher Zhang Lide). From 2004 to 2006 and 2010 to 2011, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Key Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials, Institute of Semiconductors, Chinese Academy of Sciences (Co-supervisor: Academician Wang Zhanguo) and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Georgia Institute of Technology, USA (Co-supervisor: Professor Wang Zhonglin) successively. At present, he is mainly engaged in the research on the controlled synthesis, modification, assembly and device fabrication of low-dimensional functional materials. He has published more than 70 SCI papers in journals such as Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Energy Materials, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Journal of Materials Chemistry and Chemical Communications, with an H-index of 19. He has 8 authorized invention patents, presided over 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects, 6 provincial and ministerial-level projects, and 2 department-level projects. He has won the Second Prize of Scientific and Technological Achievements of Colleges and Universities in Jiangxi Province twice.
