Liu Song, PhD, Professor and Master’s Supervisor, is mainly engaged in the research on numerical calculation methods of electromagnetic fields, propagation characteristics of electromagnetic waves in plasma, stealth theory of plasma-coated targets, as well as the theoretical and experimental teaching of College Physics. He served as Standing Member of the Committee on the Connection of Physics Education between Secondary and Higher Education and Member of the East China Regional Working Committee under the Teaching Guidance Committee for College Physics Courses of Institutions of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education during 2018–2022. He has won numerous honors and awards, including the Baosteel Excellent Teacher Award in 2025; the First Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Graduate Teaching Achievement Award (ranked 3rd) in 2021 for the project Exploration and Practice of a Training Mode for Physics Research Talents Based on “Interdisciplinary Integration and Team Collaboration”; the Second Prize of the 15th Jiangxi Provincial Higher Education Teaching Achievement Award (Undergraduate Level, Document No. [2017]21 of Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education) in 2017 (ranked 1st); the title of Teaching Master of Nanchang University in 2023; the honorary title of Top 10 Teaching Model of Nanchang University in 2016; the ZTE Education Award of Nanchang University in 2013; and the Excellent Teaching Quality Award for College Physics at Nanchang University consecutively from 2013 to 2024. He has been honored as Excellent Instructor in Jiangxi Provincial College Students’ Physics Innovation Competition for 14 consecutive years from 2012 to 2025, and as Excellent Supervisor for Undergraduate Graduation Design (Thesis) of Nanchang University for the 2019 and 2021 cohorts. In terms of course construction, he is the course leader of the 2025 National First-Class Online Course College Physics, the 2019 Jiangxi Provincial Excellent Online Open Course College Physics, and the 2020 Jiangxi Provincial Curriculum Education Sharing Program College Physics. Besides, he has presided over and participated in 6 teaching reform projects of Jiangxi Provincial Institutions of Higher Education, co-published 6 textbooks and published 6 papers on teaching reform.
