Zhou meng,Vice Dean, Level-2 Professor and Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Physics and Materials Science, Nanchang University; Winner of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars; Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA.
He obtained his Bachelor’s degree and Doctoral degree from Wuhan University in 2003 and 2009 respectively. Since 2010, he has been working at Nanchang University, focusing on the research of space physics and space weather.
He has been honored with numerous awards, including the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award of Hubei Province, Nomination for the National 100 Excellent Doctoral Dissertations Award, Fu Chengyi Young Scientist Award of the Geophysical Society of China, Young Scientist Award of the Asia-Pacific Physical Society, Young Innovation Award in Space Weather Science for Global Chinese Scholars, Second-Class Award of Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science, and First-Class Award of Jiangxi Provincial Graduate Teaching Achievement.
He has published more than 100 papers in internationally renowned journals such as Nature Physics, Physical Review Letters (PRL) and Geophysical Research Letters (GRL), among which over 60 papers were authored as the first author or corresponding author. His publications have been cited more than 4,400 times in total, with an H-index of 39. Some of his papers have been selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers, Highly Cited Papers of the Institute of Physics (IOP), UK, as well as Highlight Papers and Cover Papers of the American Geophysical Union (AGU).
Currently, he holds several academic positions, including Deputy Director of the Space Physics Committee of the Chinese Society of Space Research, Director of the China Association of Young Scientists and Technologists, Chairman of the Jiangxi Astronomical Society, Member of the Editorial Board of Journal of Space Science, Member of the Editorial Board of Earth and Planetary Physics Reviews, and Director of the University Alliance of Planetary Sciences in China.
