He is a Second-level Professor and doctoral supervisor. He has been selected into the Ganpo Talent Plan (Natural Science Category), appointed as a "Jinggang Scholar" Distinguished Professor, and recognized as a Leading Talent of Major Academic and Technical Disciplines in Jiangxi Province. He is also the first batch of "Top Ten Excellent Graduate Supervisors" of Nanchang University. Currently, he serves as the Vice President of Jiangxi Optical Society and a member of the Fiber Optics and Integrated Optics Professional Committee of the Chinese Optical Society. As the first completer, he has won one First Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Natural Science Award (2019) and one First Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Achievement Award (Graduate Category) (the 16th batch).

He mainly engages in research on micro-nano optical field regulation, optical detection and imaging. He has presided over more than 10 national and provincial-level scientific research projects, and published over 140 SCI-indexed papers in international academic journals such as Science Advances, Advanced Materials, Laser Physics Reviews, Communications Physics, Small, Nano Letters, Phys. Rev. series, Applied Physics Letters, Opt. Express, and Optics Letters, among which 80 are first-author or corresponding-author papers. He has obtained more than 10 national patents and trained over 50 doctoral and master's students.

On March 29, 2024, he was selected as one of the ten representatives of Nanchang University and was featured in CNRS's series "Remember the Entrustment, Recognize the Training, and Forge Ahead in Youth" titled "A Hand-painted Long Scroll, Taking You to Feel the Stride of Nanchang University" (https://apicnrapp.cnr.cn/html/share.html?id=2917643).
