Research focus areas include urban regeneration and historic preservation, green building, among others. Over 30 years of teaching, has instructed core professional courses such as Principles of Urban Planning and Detailed Planning and Design I, II, guiding students to win awards in various competitions, with teaching quality evaluations repeatedly rated as excellent. Received the Second Prize for Provincial Teaching Achievement Award in 2023.

Participated in the completion of over 20 social service research projects and  total funds for the horizontal scientific research projects he has presided over amount to approximately 7 million yuan. Published over 10 papers in core journals. Led the compilation of Design Guidelines for Fire Safety of Red Historic Buildings in Jiangxi Province and Technical Guidelines for Identification, Conservation, and Restoration of Historic Buildings in Jiangxi Province. Contributed to the drafting of four local standards/regulations, including Evaluation Standard for Green Retrofitting of Existing Buildings in Jiangxi Province and Green Building Evaluation Standard for Jiangxi Province. Holds one software copyright.

Holds the qualifications of National First-Class Registered Architect, Certified Urban and Rural Planner, and Senior Interior Architect, and serves as a Master’s Supervisor. Appointed as Council Member of the Architectural Education Branch of the Architectural Society of China, Deputy Secretary-General of the Jiangxi Historic Building and Cultural Heritage Conservation Society, Vice Chair of the Green Building and Building Carbon Emissions Committee of the Jiangxi Survey and Design Industry Association, and Vice Chair of the Architectural Design (Architects) Committee, among others. Serves as a member of the Jiangxi Urban Physical Examination and Urban Regeneration Expert Pool, an expert for the Jiangxi Scenic Areas and Natural Heritage Review Committee, and an expert for the Nanchang Architectural Art Committee.
