My research focuses on urban green space planning, microclimate suitability of landscape architecture for livable urban environments, and the value of children’s outdoor activities and nature education. In recent years, my work has increasingly concentrated on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of environment and health, with particular emphasis on quantifying the health impacts of biophilic design in built environments from physiological, psychological, and cognitive perspectives, and on developing corresponding evidence-based approaches for healthy environmental design.
