Zhang Qian holds the title of Associate Professor and a bachelor's degree. He is a professional teacher in the Foundation Department of the School of Architecture and Design. His main responsibilities include teaching Design Color, Design Sketch, and Hand-Drawn Representation of Environmental Design Spaces. In his teaching, he emphasizes the integration of painting art and environmental design, actively fostering students' creative thinking and practical abilities as the core teaching objectives. He is diligent, responsible, and dedicated to his work. Over the years, he has utilized teaching and spare time to guide students in participating in various major art competitions, earning numerous awards and honors.

 

I. Educational Background, Personal Resume, and Work Experience:

Graduated from the Art Department (Ceramic Art Design Major) of Jiangxi Jingdezhen Ceramic Institute (now Jingdezhen Ceramic University) in July 1992.

From September 1992 to April 2003, he worked at the Zhongshan City Mass Art Center in Guangdong and in Shenzhen, engaging in interior design and landscape planning, with rich design experience. In June 2004, he transferred to the Art Design Department of the School of Arts at Nanchang University, where he has worked to date. He currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Art Design Department of the School of Art and Design at Nanchang University. He is also an Executive Member of the Environmental Art Design Committee of the Jiangxi Artists Association and a Jiangxi Provincial Craft Artist.

Prior to joining Nanchang University, his extensive experience in landscape planning left a profound impression. The practices and theories of Eastern and Western, particularly modern landscape design, have been fully demonstrated in his subsequent teaching of environmental art design. He adeptly balances industry developments with a teaching approach that integrates theory and practice, focusing on problem-solving in environmental art education, earning widespread praise and recognition from students.

 

From August 2001 to December 2003, while working on environmental art planning in Shenzhen, he led and completed the following projects:

1. Landscape planning and design for the "Guanhaitai" residential area in Nanshan, Shenzhen.

2.Space and environmental landscape planning and design for the "Dreamland Waterside" club in Nanchang.

3.Environmental landscape planning and design for the "Jiahe Liyuan" large residential area in Suzhou.

4.Environmental landscape planning and design for the "Hai Kuo Tian Kong" project by CITIC in Shenzhen.

5.Landscape planning and design for the "Yashi · Lijingyuan" residential area in Nanshan, Shenzhen.

From June 2004 to the present, he has completed the following landscape art design projects in Nanchang:

1.Planning and design for the Jinggangshan Red Army Cliff Ecological Tourism Scenic Area.

2.Winning bid for the planning and design of the Xinjiang North Bank Park in Guixi City (tender project).

3.Landscape planning and design for the Longxiang International Logistics Center Riverside Park in Longnan.

4.Landscape planning and design for the "New World Happiness 365" high-end residential area in Ji'an.

5.Landscape planning and design for the Beijing Contemporary MOMA "Full Court Spring" residential area (Phases I and II) in Nanchang.

2. 2020 3rd National University Student Green Exhibition Innovation and Creativity Challenge, jointly organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education and Department of Commerce: The work "Joyful Encounter, Exhibition Innovation" by students Liu Jiahui et al., guided by Professor Zhang Qian, won the "Third Prize" in the Exhibition VI Design undergraduate group. The work "Taste of Jiangxi: A Bite of New Year Cake" won the "Third Prize" in the Booth Design group.

3. Zhang Qian was honored as a "Contributor to Interior Design Education" in the 2020 Decoration Industry Awards by the Jiangxi Interior Decoration Association.

4. 2021 4th National University Student Green Exhibition Innovation and Creativity Challenge, jointly organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Education and Department of Commerce: The work "Jiangnan Jingci" by students Wu Jianyou et al., guided by Professor Zhang Qian, won the "Second Prize" in the Exhibition Booth Design undergraduate group. The work "Xinyu Grass Cloth" by students Li Wenlong et al. won the "Third Prize" in the Booth Design undergraduate group.

5. 2021: Guided student Song Chunyan (Class 192) whose work "Harmony and Unity" won the "Silver Award" in the Chinese Mainland Division of the 3rd "Taiwan International University Student Art Awards."

6. Guided students Qu Jianing et al. (Class 192) whose work "Tea Joy Knows No Bounds, Etiquette Meets Ancient and Modern" won the "Bronze Award" in the China Division of the 2021 SAGDC Singapore Sands Art and Design Competition.

7. Guided students Ding Wenying et al. (Class 191) whose work "Tea Joy Knows No Bounds, Etiquette Meets Ancient and Modern" won the "Bronze Award" in the China Division of the 2021 China-UK International Creativity Competition.

10. December 2023: Received the "Outstanding Instructor" honor in the 3rd "Wisdom Cup" College Culture and Art Innovation Achievement Competition organized by the "China Wisdom Engineering Research Society" and the "Art Education Professional Committee."

11.December 2023: In the 3rd "Wisdom Cup" College Literature and Art Innovation Achievement Competition organized by the "China Wisdom Engineering Research Society" and the "Art Education Professional Committee," guided multiple students to achieve the following awards:

 

A. Student Chen Xuanwen won two "First Prizes": one in the Fine Arts category "Sketch and Quick Drawing" for the work "Bicycle in the Rain," and one in the Fine Arts category "Watercolor and Gouache" for the work "Between Glow and Rain."

B. Student Shi Xuan'ao won a "First Prize" in the Fine Arts category "Watercolor and Gouache" for the work "Flowers: Reconstruction."

C. Student Xiang Zhilin won a "First Prize" in the Fine Arts category "Watercolor and Gouache" for the work "Between Glow and Rain."

D. Student Gu Haoran won a "Second Prize" in the Fine Arts category "Watercolor and Gouache" for the work "Warm Sunshine."

IV. Participation in Major Art Activities:

1. September 2010: Participated in the cultural and art decoration activity for the Jiangxi Qianhu Yingbin Hotel, a reception center of the Jiangxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China and the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government. Received an honorary certificate issued by the General Office of the Jiangxi Provincial People's Government.

2. December 2013: Three of his works were selected for exhibition in the "Jiangling Cup 'Win Tomorrow'" 1st Jiangxi Art Biennale, jointly organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Committee Propaganda Department and the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Culture. Among them, "Mountain Soul: Impression" won the Excellence Award and competed for the Jiangxi Art Biennale Grand Prize.

3. December 2017: Calligraphy work "Chill Dew, Light Frost; Autumn Mood, Moonlight" was included in the Chinese Contemporary University Student Art Works Yearbook, published by Beijing Arts and Crafts Publishing House.
