Weifeng, Xu ,male, born in November 1978, is a Lecturer at the School of Architecture and Design, Nanchang University, specializing in Industrial Design. He has been actively engaged in teaching and research in the areas of product design, Kansei Engineering (Affective Engineering), and sustainable design, with a consistent focus on integrating user emotional experience, environmentally conscious principles, and innovative design methodologies.He currently teaches courses including Intelligent Interaction Design, Design Psychology, and Universal Design, aiming to nurture design professionals who combine social responsibility with creative thinking. In recent years, he has participated in multiple provincial- and ministerial-level research projects, published numerous papers in core academic journals, and guided students to win awards in national design competitions.Adhering to the philosophy of “enhancing teaching through research” and “promoting learning through competition,” he actively explores interdisciplinary and integrative approaches to industrial design education within the context of the “New Engineering” initiative.
